Session theft via stored device-model script injection
Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Jun 2, 2025
Stored XSS in Xantech WIC1200 Firmware 1.1 allows remote authenticated users to steal another user's session details through its web interface. The /setup/diags_ir_learn.asp handler stores JavaScript supplied in the device model parameter without neutralizing it before another user's browser executes it. Low-privileged authentication and interaction by another logged-in user are required; execution exposes session details and permits actions in that user's browser context.
