Authenticated memory corruption via unbounded ssidIndex
Published Jan 15, 2024 · Updated Jun 3, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda W9 1.0.0.7(4456) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt httpd memory via ssidIndex. The formOfflineSet function fails to bound the attacker-controlled ssidIndex value before it overwrites adjacent stack memory. Reaching the handler requires authenticated HTTP access; exploitation corrupts httpd memory and can disclose or alter process data or interrupt the service.
