Authenticated service interruption via ssidIndex stack overflow
Published Jan 15, 2024 · Updated Jun 3, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda W9 1.0.0.7(4456) allows remote authenticated users to interrupt httpd service via ssidIndex. Processing an oversized ssidIndex in formQosManage_user exceeds its stack buffer because the handler does not enforce a safe input length. Exploitation requires a low-privilege management session and corrupts process memory, interrupting service and enabling device compromise.
