CVE-2024-0533Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unchecked device name

Published Jan 15, 2024 · Updated Jun 13, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda A15 15.13.07.13 allows remote authenticated users to crash the repeater or execute arbitrary code. The formSetDeviceName handler passes the devName request value to set_device_name, where sprintf writes it without a length check into a stack buffer. Administrative access to the web management interface is required, and an oversized device name can interrupt service or alter execution on the appliance.
