CVE-2024-0525

SQL injection via crafted longurl POST parameter

Published Jan 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2024

SQL injection in CXBSoft Url-shorting 1.3.0 and 1.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via crafted POST requests. The /pages/long_s_short.php HTTP POST handler places the attacker-controlled longurl value into an SQL command without adequately neutralizing SQL syntax. The CNA assessment requires low privileges and adjacent-network access; successful injection can expose, change, or interrupt data handled by the application database.
