CVE-2024-0455Public exploitNetwork attack vector

EC2 credential disclosure via unrestricted web scraping

Published Feb 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024

SSRF in the AnythingLLM web scraper before 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read AWS EC2 instance credentials. The scraper accepts a manager- or administrator-supplied URL and sends the request from the host without blocking the link-local metadata address. Exposure requires an EC2 deployment, knowledge of the hosting environment, and no effective firewall block; retrieved credentials allow management of the instance.
