Subscriber-level OpenAI file upload via unchecked callback
Published May 22, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in QuantumCloud WPBot 5.3.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to upload files to a linked OpenAI account. The openai_file_upload_callback WordPress AJAX handler processes a file-upload request without checking whether the caller has an administrative capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and each successful request adds attacker-chosen content to the site's configured OpenAI account.
