CVE-2024-0439Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Manager configuration modification via missing role check

Published Feb 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024

Improper privilege management in Mintplex Labs AnythingLLM before 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to modify system settings. The system-settings update endpoint accepts a manager's valid token and passes the request body to updateENV without verifying an administrator role. Multi-user mode and manager access are required; successful requests can rewrite deployment configuration with the endpoint's normal privileges.
