CVE-2024-0430Public exploit

System crash via null pointer dereference

Published Jan 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 13, 2024

NULL pointer dereference in IObit Malware Fighter 11.0.0.1274 allows local users to crash Windows via a crafted driver IOCTL. The ImfHpRegFilter.sys handler for IOCTL 0x8001E00C compares data through a NULL RBX pointer, causing a kernel fault and BSOD. Low-privilege local access is required; no user interaction is needed, and the reported consequence is a system crash without data disclosure or modification.
