Application shutdown via command-line buffer overflow

Buffer overflow in Hex Workshop 6.7 allows local users to shut down the application through crafted command-line file arguments. The command-line argument-handling path accepts an oversized file argument that overwrites Structured Exception Handler records instead of rejecting the out-of-bounds write. A user must be able to launch the application with the crafted argument; successful exploitation terminates the process and interrupts the editor service.
