Unauthenticated private-post disclosure via unchecked AJAX object ID
Published Feb 12, 2024 · Updated May 7, 2025
IDOR in MapPress Maps for WordPress before 2.88.16 allows remote attackers to read private and draft posts through an AJAX action. The mapp_get_post action trusts an attacker-supplied oid and returns the referenced post without confirming that the object is a public map. An unauthenticated visitor can obtain the MapPress nonce from a page containing a map, then read a private or draft post by its identifier.
