CVE-2024-0419Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote server crash via oversized POST body

Published Jan 11, 2024 · Updated Oct 25, 2024

Denial of service in the HTTP POST handler in Jasper httpdx 1.5.0 through 1.5.4 allows remote attackers to crash the server. The handler processes an oversized request body without correctly enforcing the declared byte count; the public proof of concept sends 1,040 bytes while declaring 1,023. Any unauthenticated network client that can reach the HTTP service can interrupt service for legitimate users.
