CVE-2024-0387

Access-control bypass via non-disableable IP forwarding

Published Feb 26, 2024 · Updated Oct 28, 2024

Improper IP forwarding in Moxa EDS-4000/G4000 firmware 3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to relay network requests. The web service exposes an IP-forwarding capability that cannot be disabled and forwards attacker-supplied requests to other targets. Low-privileged access from an adjacent network is required; successful abuse bypasses target access controls or conceals the request source.
