Post-title modification via missing save_view nonce validation
Published Feb 5, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in WebHolics Views for WPForms 3.2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify arbitrary post titles. The save_view function accepts a forged state-changing request without correctly validating a WordPress nonce before saving the supplied view title. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to follow a crafted link or otherwise submit the request, and the resulting write is limited to post-title modification.
