Malicious-site redirection via unvalidated destination URL
Published Mar 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Open redirect in Travelpayouts 1.1.16 and earlier allows remote attackers to send users to malicious sites through crafted links. The plugin uses the travelpayouts_redirect query parameter as a destination without adequately validating the supplied URL. Exploitation requires a user to open an attacker-crafted link, after which the browser leaves the trusted WordPress site for an attacker-chosen destination.
