CVE-2024-0316

Service outage via improper exception cleanup

Published Jan 15, 2024 · Updated Oct 1, 2024

Improper exception cleanup in FireEye Endpoint Security 5.2.0.958244 allows attackers to interrupt service through repeated requests. Request handling at containment_notify/preview throws exceptions without proper cleanup when multiple packets are submitted; the retained resource or state is undisclosed. Triggering requires access to submit repeated requests to that parameter, and the documented consequence is a service outage.
