Policy bypass via API hook manipulation
Published Mar 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Improper function-hook validation in Skyhigh Client Proxy 4.8.1 allows local users to bypass policy enforcement without a release code. The client improperly validates API-hook arguments in its release-code challenge-response path, allowing the bypass to remain active indefinitely. Low-privileged local access is required, and exploitation permits traffic that the configured endpoint policy would otherwise redirect or block.
