Authenticated command execution via unsanitized upload filename
Published Jan 8, 2024 · Updated Jun 3, 2025
OS command injection in TOTOLINK LR1200GB 9.1.0u.6619_B20230130 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The setUploadSetting handler in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi places the attacker-controlled FileName value into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. A valid management token is required by the vulnerable request; injected commands run with the web service's device privileges and can compromise router confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
