Authenticated session persistence after password change
Published Jan 7, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
Insufficient session expiration in SourceCodester Engineers Online Portal 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to retain access after a password change. The Password Change handler in change_password_teacher.php updates the credential without invalidating the existing authenticated session. A valid teacher session is required, and that session remains authorized rather than being terminated when the account password changes.
