Subscriber-level post deletion via missing capability check
Published Feb 12, 2024 · Updated May 7, 2025
Missing authorization in Spider Themes EazyDocs 2.3.8 through 2.3.9 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary posts. The admin-post.php Doc_Delete handler accepts a post identifier with a nonce exposed in eazydocs_local_object but omits a subscriber capability check. Subscriber access is sufficient; version 2.3.9 limits the consequence to arbitrary EazyDocs document deletion, while 2.3.8 also permits post deletion and document or section creation and deletion.
