Browser script execution via unsanitized lang parameter
Published Jan 5, 2024 · Updated Nov 14, 2024
Reflected XSS in IceWarp Server 12.0.2.1 and 12.0.3.1 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser via lang. The /install/ Utility Download Handler inserts the lang parameter into an HTML response without neutralizing script markup. No authentication is required, but a victim must open the crafted request; injected script runs in the page origin and can alter rendered content.
