CSRF in UnitedOver Digits 8.4.1 allows remote attackers to elevate privileges by forging a settings request through an administrator. The digits_save_settings function accepts a state-changing request without nonce validation and can set the default role for new accounts. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to submit the forged request, after which registrations can receive an elevated role.
