Organization-owner code execution via unsafe reflection
Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Unsafe reflection in affected GitHub Enterprise Server 3.8 through 3.11 releases allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The unsafe reflection path accepts attacker-controlled method selection and invokes the selected method; GitHub has not disclosed the endpoint or function. Exploitation requires a logged-in organization owner and can execute code on the server, with resulting data access or service effects bounded by the invoked method.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=3.10.0 <3.10.5
- Affected versionversion=3.11.0 <3.11.3
- Affected versionversion=3.8.0
- Affected versionversion=3.8.0 <3.8.13
