Privileged SMM code execution via firmware callout

An SMM callout in affected AMD processor firmware allows local users with ring-0 privileges to execute code in System Management Mode. The AmdCpmDisplayFeatureSMM UEFI module makes an SMM callout that permits a privileged caller to overwrite protected SMRAM. Ring-0 access is required, and successful exploitation crosses into SMM with control over code and data isolated from the host kernel.
