CVE-2024-0163

Unauthorized resource access via TOCTOU race

Published Mar 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024

A TOCTOU race condition in Dell PowerEdge BIOS Intel 16G allows local users with low privileges to access unauthorized resources. Dell has not published the affected firmware routine, the checked resource, or the state-changing operation that creates the race window. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and a successful race; Dell bounds the result to otherwise unauthorized resources, with low confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact.
