CVE-2024-0134Network attack vector

Host data tampering via unauthorized file creation

Published Nov 5, 2024 · Updated Nov 5, 2024

UNIX symlink following in NVIDIA Container Toolkit and GPU Operator allows remote authenticated users to create unauthorized host files. A specially crafted container image triggers host-file creation, but NVIDIA has not disclosed the affected code path or exact symlink operation. Exploitation requires permission to supply an image and user interaction; affected versions end at 1.16.2 and 24.6.2, and file names and locations remain uncontrolled.
