nvdisasm crash via malformed ELF input
Published Oct 3, 2024 · Updated Oct 3, 2024
NULL pointer dereference in nvdisasm in NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit 12.6U1 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to crash the tool. nvdisasm dereferences a NULL pointer while processing a malformed ELF-format cubin supplied as its input. Exploitation requires a user to run the command-line tool on the file, and the resulting denial of service is limited to the nvdisasm process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
