CVE-2024-0116Network attack vector

Authenticated server crash via shared-memory release race

Published Oct 1, 2024 · Updated Oct 1, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in NVIDIA Triton Inference Server 19.11 through 24.08 allows remote authenticated users to crash the server. The shared-memory manager releases a region while an inference request still uses it, leaving request processing to read beyond valid memory. High-privilege access to the network shared-memory APIs and a concurrent inference using the same region are required; the reported consequence is a service crash.
