CVE-2024-0115

Denial of service via unbounded cache growth

Published Aug 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 9, 2024

Uncontrolled resource consumption in NVIDIA CV-CUDA 0.1.x through 0.9.x allows local users to exhaust memory through Python APIs. A long-running Python process permits the internal cache to grow without a limit because Python-created object lifetimes remain coupled to cache management. Low-privilege local code execution is required; successful exploitation can interrupt service and cause data loss.
