CVE-2024-0114

Administrative access via unsafe debug state

Published Mar 5, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Privilege escalation in NVIDIA Hopper HGX 8-GPU HMC 1.3.0 through 1.5.0 allows attackers controlling the BMC to gain HMC administrator access. The HMC exposes an unsafe debug access level or state across the BMC-to-HMC administrative boundary; NVIDIA has not disclosed the specific interface or operation. Exploitation requires BMC administrative control and can execute code, alter or disclose data, or interrupt the HMC service.
