Improper ipfilter definitions in NVIDIA Mellanox OS, ONYX, Skyway, MetroX-2, and MetroX-3 XC allow remote attackers to cause switch failure. The ipfilter protection mechanism applies improper filter definitions, allowing network traffic to drive the switch into a failure state; NVIDIA has not disclosed the exact rule-validation error. No privileges or user interaction are required, and the documented consequence is limited to service interruption.
