CVE-2024-0098

Local information disclosure via cleartext UI-backend traffic

Published May 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Cleartext transmission in NVIDIA ChatRTX 0.2.1 and earlier allows local users to disclose sensitive data by sniffing UI-backend traffic. The ChatRTX UI and backend transmit sensitive information without transport protection, allowing a low-privileged local user to capture it in transit. Exploitation requires local access and low privileges; the published advisory reports disclosure only and provides no further protocol or data details.
