Code execution via runtime log-file redirection

External control of a log file path in NVIDIA Triton Inference Server 22.09 through 24.03 allows remote authenticated users to append data. The remotely accessible logging extension accepted an arbitrary log_file path at runtime and opened an existing file in append mode. High-privilege access to the logging API is required, and writes occur with server-process permissions, enabling file tampering, code execution, or service interruption.
