CVE-2024-0085

Local host privilege escalation and data tampering

Published Jun 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2024

Improper privilege management in NVIDIA vGPU software allows local users to execute privileged operations on the host. NVIDIA identifies the affected locus only as vGPU software and has not disclosed which interface or permission check permits the operation. Low-privileged local access and high-complexity conditions are required; exploitation can alter host data, elevate privileges, or interrupt service.
