Improper privilege management in NVIDIA ChatRTX 0.2 and earlier allows local users to escalate privileges through open file requests. The Windows UI accepts attacker-supplied open file requests without maintaining the required privilege boundary, but NVIDIA has not disclosed the responsible function or validation failure. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and user interaction; success grants elevated privileges and permits sensitive-data disclosure and data tampering.
