Local application interruption via malformed TIFF processing
Published Apr 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Improper input validation in NVIDIA nvTIFF before 0.3.0 allows local users to interrupt applications that process a crafted TIFF file. NVIDIA has not disclosed the affected parser routine, the mishandled TIFF field, or whether processing causes a crash or hang. Exploitation requires local privileges, user interaction, and an application that passes the attacker-controlled file to the library; the reported impact is limited to partial denial of service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
