CVE-2024-0071Public exploit

Memory disclosure via unchecked shader output register

Published Mar 27, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows allows local users to disclose memory through a crafted shader file. The D3D10 shader parser accepts an output-register number beyond the declared range and uses attacker-controlled bytecode in the address calculation, reading arbitrary memory. Execution of the crafted file requires user interaction; testing demonstrated a crash and host-memory exposure from a Hyper-V guest using RemoteFX.
