Cross-user image disclosure via unchecked icon URI
Published Feb 16, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Android 11 through 14 Autofill allows local users to view another user's images through a crafted save UI. SaveUi.java's applyCustomDescription method accepted icon content URIs from an Autofill service without checking that the service held read permission. A user-executed malicious Autofill service can therefore make the system process render another user's protected image without interaction.
