Local privilege escalation in Google Android 11 through 14 allows local users to launch an activity from the background without interaction. TileLifecycleManager.onNullBinding leaves a TileService bound after its onBind method returns null instead of releasing the connection, preserving a path for a background app to start an activity. Exploitation requires local app execution but no additional execution privileges or user interaction, and the resulting launch crosses Android's background-start restriction.
