Improper access control in Android 11 through 14 allows local users to gain elevated privileges through restricted-directory access. FileSystemProvider queryChildDocuments variants and DownloadStorageProvider route requests without consistently enforcing hidden-document filtering for Android/data, Android/obb, and Android/sandbox. Exploitation requires User execution privileges and user interaction; successful abuse bypasses scoped-storage boundaries and grants access to app-private files.
