Unauthenticated reboot and factory reset via stm.cgi
Published Nov 12, 2025 · Updated Nov 12, 2025
Missing authentication in tinycontrol LAN Controller v3 firmware 1.58a and earlier allows remote attackers to reboot or reset the device. The stm.cgi endpoint accepts unauthenticated eeprom_reset=1 and lk3restart=1 query parameters and executes factory-reset or restart actions. Network reachability to the web interface is sufficient; reboot interrupts service, while factory reset erases the configured state.
