Stored XSS via unescaped created username
Published Oct 30, 2025 · Updated Oct 30, 2025
Stored XSS in Nagios Log Server before 2024R1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator browser. The Create User function stores a supplied username without sufficient validation or output escaping, then renders it as active browser content. The attacker must access the administrative Create User workflow, and a victim must view the created user; resulting script runs with the victim browser privileges.
