Remote code execution via traversal-based JSP upload

Published Aug 27, 2025 · Updated May 25, 2026

Path traversal in Dahua Smart Park Integrated Management Platform allows remote attackers to upload executable files via crafted SOAP requests. The GIS bitmap uploadPicFile operation accepts a traversal-bearing picPath and writes attacker-controlled base64 content outside its intended image directory. No authentication or user interaction is required, and placing a JSP payload in the web root enables arbitrary command execution under the server's privileges.
