Admin notice dismissal via missing capability check
Published Oct 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Paytium 4.3.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to dismiss WordPress administrator notices. The paytium_notice_dismiss function processes a notice-dismissal request without checking that the requesting account has an administrative capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the effect is limited to removing administrative notices rather than changing payment data or service availability.
