Subscription cancellation via missing capability check
Published Oct 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Paytium 4.3.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to cancel recurring-payment subscriptions. The pt_cancel_subscription function processes a subscription-cancellation request without checking whether the WordPress user has the capability to cancel that subscription. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and successful exploitation stops the targeted subscription rather than granting broader administrative control.
