Information disclosure via unprotected predictable log files
Published Mar 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Sensitive information exposure in WP BackItUp Community Edition 1.45 and earlier allows remote attackers to read site data from log files. Predictably named files in the web-accessible logs directory are served without access controls and can contain site configuration and full backup-folder links. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient; exposure is limited to information present in generated logs, with no reported ability to modify data or interrupt service.
