Unauthenticated stored XSS via unescaped submission name
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 16, 2025
Stored XSS in Evan Liewer's illi Link Party! 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted submission name. The plugin stores an unauthenticated visitor's submission name without sanitizing it and renders the value without output escaping when the link-party page reloads. Exploitation requires a configured link party exposed by shortcode and a visitor to load the stored payload, which then runs in that visitor's browser.
