Unauthenticated syslog disclosure via topicurl selector
Published Jan 9, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
Improper access control in TOTOLINK T6 4.1.9cu.5241_B20210923 allows remote attackers to read system logs without authentication. The /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi handler accepts showSyslog as the attacker-controlled topicurl value and returns protected syslog content without enforcing access control. No credentials or user interaction are required, and the grounded impact is limited to disclosure of log data.
