CVE-2023-7208

Memory corruption via unbounded submit_url formatting

Published Jan 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Stack buffer overflow in TOTOLINK X2000R_V2 2.0.0-B20230727.10434 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory. The formTmultiAP handler in /bin/boa reads the submit_url HTTP parameter and passes it to sprintf to build the fixed-size stack buffer var_120 without a length bound. Access requires low privileges from an adjacent network, and the published evidence establishes stack memory corruption but no specific post-corruption outcome.
