Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped settings
Published Feb 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Persian Fonts 1.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through plugin settings. The settings page persists a textarea value without input sanitization and redisplays it without output escaping, causing injected JavaScript to execute on reload. Administrator privileges are required, and the bypass matters when unfiltered_html is disabled, including in multisite deployments.
